Currently i'm Running an AMD Clawhammer 3200 and Asus KV8SE mobo, and Geforce 6800ultra but i'd like to upgrade on a low budget.
My Choices are as follows:
1. Get the AMD 4600 socket 939 with a new Mobo, and sell my old mobo and cpu (keeping the 6800)
2. Wait until the AMD quad Core comes out, and then get the AMD 4600 socket 939 with a new mobo at the reduced price (the problem here is that i'm sure i wouldn't be able to sell my old mobo and cpu at the price its going for now, because every chip's price will fall once the quad cores come out), and keep the 6800
3. Sell my 6800 Ultra and get a 7950.
I'm trying to figure out which of these 3 options will give me the most bang for my buck. Right now i can't seem to figure out financially whether it makes more sense to sell my mobo and cpu now or later (ie, if i wait until the quad core comes out, the amd 4600 will be cheaper, but so will the selling price of my old CPU and Mobo).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
As you can imagine, this is mostly just a gaming issue
