Hi. I need some help looking for a motherboard that can do raid 5 with more than 6 or more hard disks without the use of an extra raid card. I have checked out gigabyte, but it appears that it can't raid5 more than 4 harddisks. :? I plan to raid 8 SATA harddisks in raid5.

no budget.. but preferably.. i would wanna avoid buying a raid card. and socket 775 would be nice.
This will serve as a fileserver.. so xor calculations on the pc arent a problem. But i'm a little hesitant since it usually runs at 5-10MB/s for write which sucks when i have to transfer gigabytes at once.

This is what I came up with:
GIGABYTE GA-965P-DQ6 $197.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813128323

Intel BOXD975XBXLKR Bad Axe $279.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813121016

ASUS P5WD2-E Premium $229.99

Hope this helps.
