I've been looking for computer tuners that will record HD over cable for over a year, and have only found a few questionables.
HDHomeRun™ Networked Digital TV Tuner
-- no software included, and seems to only work with Linux.
FusionHDTV5 RT
-- Only works with it's proprietary drivers and software as far as I can tell.
I'm a windows user, that just wants to be able to record my shows in HD over cable (QAM) and later edit out the commercials and save to MPEG4. I'd love to see a Denguru review of these products. Does anyone on these forums have these tuners or any more information on them? Or better suited products that will handle QAM for windows.
Well, I ordered and got the Dvico HDFusion RT Lite. And the timing just happend to be the week I moved. So I have the card but my house won't have cable for another 2 weeks. GGGRRRr. Damn Charter Cable. Not even any OTA channels around here and I live near downtown in a pop 100K city.
So we'll have to wait to see if it's any good.
Anyone out there have an Windows HD tuner card at all that can lend any wisdom?
