hello,
we have a computer with a simple dial up connection via modem. The other one is an laptop. We connected the computers via network cards over an patch cable.
How do I share the internet connection?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

First, be sure you are using a crossover cable when going between two computers.

The computer that goes online needs to be set up for sharing Internet connections.

I don't remember exactly how to do that, Windows help should cover that.

Remember that you now will have two computers sharing a slow connection (I do not mean to insult dialup). Normal surfing will run slower if two people are surfing at the same time, and if you plan to download any files, it will be best to not do anything online with the other computer until the file download is complete. You can forget streaming music with two computers online, as well.

I remember years ago when I had two computers sharing a dialup connection, I really learned to be patient! :)
