Hi.

Ok i connect to my college internet through a proxy server URL. Now i cant seem to set up my anti virus & games to connect through the proxy server. They just dont detect the internet connection at all.

How can this be done?

I have already tried opening windows before connectin the programs with no soccess. Any ideas? Is there a program i can use to tell software to connect through a proxy url?

Talk to the network folks at your school. Their connection, their rules, so they may say so sad, too bad. However they may open up ports (unlikely) or show you how to configure your apps to connect through ports they've already opened. (also unlikely but a better chance than opening up new ports) Your A/V should have a proxy setting page though I'd think. I haven't seen one that doesn't yet.
