The only time I bothered with Dell support was when I was trying to figure out how to insert Memory Sticks into my Inspiron's memory card reader. Ended up chatting with someone who couldn't/wouldn't understand me. Kept on asking him how to do it, he/she kept on telling me that it was possible.
Well, I haven't had any personal experiences with Dell Support. But I've read at least one horror story about their month-long repairs (that was in the Philippines though).
