I just got my self a X1950 pro and was wondering what programs can use avivo. More to the point how do i setup avivo. I know it's ment to make video
play back better. I just don't know how to use it. Can anyone help

ATI used Avivo to stand for two things: its image quality enhancement technologies, and its Avivo video converter software. I'll assume you're talking about image quality.

Load Catalyst Control Center and voila, you've got Avivo controls.

As far as i know you have to install ATI's DVD decoder from the cd...they also have decoder software for other formats such as Mpeg4 and H.264

I have yet to try it....but i think your best bet is to use ATI's software if you want it to use Avivo

please note that was for video decoding....

they also have the Avivo Encoder....
run cat control center in basic mode...and select it from there. Its a fast and easy way to covert files(PSP,Zen Vision,DVD,Mpeg4,ect)......

Last they have AVIVO color.....i dont see a use for it....but its in the CCC as well

The CCC stuff for video overlay works with nearly any decoder, not just ATI's.
