Hard lesson in backing up HDD Need some advice

So a coupple of weeks ago I installed 2 WD 250G HDDs in RAID 0. I had been meaning to get an additional Backup drive but was putting it off. BAD IDEA. last night I caught a nasty bug that messed me up good causing me to loose about 150G of games/data/media etc. :twisted: So today I picked up a Buffalo extrernal HDD for backup. I have Norton Systemworks with Ghost. Should I use that or is there something better to use for my backup. Thanx

You could buy two more internal drives and run raid 0+1 instead

RAID only protects against physical drive failures which I think are less common for most of us compared to problems like accidental deletion, virus, bug, etc.

I think a low cost and effective backup method is simply to manually make a copy of everything to external drives every once in a while.
