I overclocked my Athlon64 3700+ today and want some feedback from anyone with something to say:

Asus A8N-SLI deluxe motherboard
Athlon64 3700+ San Diego
4 sticks of 512mb PC3200 samsung original

First when I added the extra 2 sticks of ram, my system automatically underclocked the ram to 166Mhz. I knew that this happens on a lot of AMD systems, but thought that my CPU (rev E4) would not give me that problem.

Here are the settings I am currently running at:
HTT: 250Mhz
Multiplier: 11
Core Speed: 2.75Ghz
1.472v
FSB/DRAM: CPU/14 (making my ram run at about 198Mhz)

Hitting about 45c at full load (stock cooling).

Any comments?

Also, I ran 3DMark06 to test stability, and my score actually when DOWN after the upgrade to 2Gigs of ram and the cpu O/C....

Before the overclock:
3DMark Score 3344 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 1485 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 1475 Marks
CPU Score 865 Marks

After the overclock:
3DMark Score 3076 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 1479 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 1047 Marks
CPU Score 1072 Marks

It could be that 3DMark06 at this point is still only supporting 91.47 Drivers and I have a NEWER version installed (93.71, which is not supported by 3DMark06 yet)

I have a somewhat similar setup to yours as I'm running an A64 3800+ on a A8N-E motherboard. You can adjust the speed of your ram in bios. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to run it at full speed.
Other than that, nice overclock. Though, it's impossible to comment on your 3DMark06 score without knowing what video card you're using.

The graphics card is the 7800GT.

I don't think I should adjust the ram back to it's original settings. If I do so, it would become overclocked to 250Mhz. I don't think my ram is up to that task, but fully admit I have limited experience in OCing.

Here is the CPU-Z for my memory at the moment. As you can see, it is currently almost back to it's original 200Mhz as a divider is being used.

nice oc, i have the same but with corsair xms memory and got
to 2.6 with 4 512,s and 2.7 with 2 512,s.

though i never bumped up the volts.

on your memory you want to keep it at 200 or lower.
