I just took this thing out of the box. And I noticed one thing, there
are no instructions on how to remove the camera from the stand. I
tried to turn the camera itself and all it did was click. I later read
somewhere don't manually rotate the camera or it could damage the
camera! I hope I didn't hurt anything. I tried giving it a light tug,
nothing. Could someone please tell me how to remove the camera from
the stand. Logitech needs to take note of this oversite. I will send
them an email. GRRRRRRR.

It's probably something like a cog or belt slipping. You should be ok.

Try harder. It's a little butt stiffer than you might like to tug on
without knowing that it comes straight out.

Pull it up straight and HARD. I'm sure you didn't hurt anything by twisting,
there is a slip deal. When I first did that I thought I was sure to break
it, but thats how it comes off to insert the stanchion. Stupid of them to
not mentionit

Mine was a SOB to get apart and I've been in construction for 22
years! I twisted it at first also. called logitech and they said they
would replace it if damaged.
