zalman 9700 LED or zalman 9700 NT ? ^_^

hands down, zalman 9700 = sex. it's gorgeous and looks much better than anything else, imo. here's the problem. what's the difference between the zalman 9700 led and the zalman 9700 nt? appearance-wise, the led version has a reddish/copper tone with blue led and correct me if i'm wrong, but the nt version is silver/gray with a green led. i really want the nt version as it has the silver/gray look to it, but i want it with a blue led instead of the green to match the rest of my system (evga n680i, antec 900 case w/ 2 blue led fans, ocz psu blue led fan). what do you guys think? i don't even know where to purchase the 9700 nt, although i've seen some reviews of the evga 680i board using the 9700 nt. i know newegg has the 9700 led, but no signs of the nt version! HELP!

If Newegg doesn't have it, just check Tiger Direct, Zip Zoom Fly or one of the others. Bigger question is, "Will a Zalman 9700 fit into my case without hitting something?". My case is very close, so I ordered the 9500 just to be sure. Besides, Newegg had an instant $20. savings at the time I ordered the 9500, so that was a bit convincing as well.

How does the Zalman stack up to the stock X6800 extreme fan... and the like Qx6700?

Is it worth going to Zalman? I have heard great things about stock fan this round and was wondering if I should spend the extra money.

I can't say how the 9500 would compare with the cooler on the Intel X6800, but Tom's did a test using an AMD cpu and several coolers and the 9500 reduced temps about 20c, the best of the group.

Because all the reviewed ones were 'sub-coolers'. Nothing top-notch considering the entire market. Refere to madshrimps.com for full reviews and better comparisons.
