2nd HDD doesnt appear in My Computer but is detected in BIOS

are you running this second drive thru a RAID chip? if so you will have to install drivers for the RAID chip first.

otherwise, go into device manager in windows and see if its dectected there - might need to be formatted before windows will recognise it as a 2nd drive.

right click my computer, click on manage, and you have to add to it windows, your should figure it out once you do what i just told you.

when i go to comoter managment and add the new HDD it says unallocated, i think i have to format it as has no NTFS or FAT next to it like my other working hdd does.


how can i formatt my pc in safe mode as i cnt get into windows at the minute.

You first have to put a partition on it, then format it.

how do i do that?
