core temp always crashes

yep I can only run it for about a minute before it crashes. So lately I have been using TAT to show temps. It satarted happening with the new version.

Are your TAT temps about 1-2 degrees lower than coretemp? Mine seem to be.

TAT reads 1-2 C hotter than core temp for me.

Edit: I just figured out it reads 1-2 C hotter than core temp on idle. Once I loaded the processor it read 2 C lower than core temp.

It crashes every so often on me but I have not yet determined the frequency nor the cause. I'm using the lates version Beta 0.94.

Lol thread revival. Its better than starting a new thread though.

It fixed itself when I reloaded windows to get Raid 0 setup. I don't know hwy it does it.

For the last couple of months.. i had the coretemp crash on me only once. The program is in its Beta versions.. of course your are going to have glitches with it.

It turns out that the issue was I had some bad memory. I ran memtest to confirm and then replaced it. Voila! No more problem with Core Temp. The other telltale sign was that I was also having problems with my Spybot adware applet. It thought that its had been changed and warned me about a possible virus. After some due diligence I found a post that pointed to the bad memory. The issue didn't show itself in any other apps except for Core Temp and Spybot.
