I plan to buy a Dell XPS 410 (or Dimension 9200) computer with Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music card,PCI
Currently I am using an already old Gateway desktop with Boston Acoustics Digital Media Theater speakers – BA 4800, with digital and analog input. (Part Number 7000787 on the Gateway site:
https://support.gateway.com/s/SOUND/bostonac/7000787/U00787nv.shtml
They work nicely with a Creative Sound Blaster PCI, Creative Audio PCI (ES1371, ES1373) (WDM) from Creative Technology sound card.
I am satisfied with the audio performance of the BA speakers and would like to use them with my new Dell XPS 410 (or Dimension 9200) system, however I am not sure if they will work with the new Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music card .
Could you please advice?

They both should work fine together.

X-Fi has standard stereo line output so connection is not issue.
It is probably better to use analog out from the card for it should have better sound quality then DAC in your speakers.

But you might use digital connection if you wish (you will need to
1) set X-Fi "flexijack"to digital out and
2) connect it with a 1/8-inch-jack-to-RCA-cable to the digital input on the bostons.

Good Luck
