I am not a complete nubcake when it comes to computers, I know enough to get by. I was woundering if anyone new of any websites or links that can teach me more. I love toms hardware but a lot of the time it seems too advanced for me on a lot of areas!
So basically I was hopeing someone here could point me in the direction of a websites or anything that would explaine to me more about how RAM, CPU's, Networking & ect... works.
If anyone knows of any websites with videos that can explaine things better, that would be sweet!
Are you sure you really want to know how RAM and CPUs work? It's actually quite complicated. Networking is a completely different animal than RAM or CPUs. How in depth are you looking to go? I'll start by asking how much do you know about the insides of computers? Can you build a computer yourself and get it to work? Do you know what you're looking at when you see a computer piece inside a case?
For networking, it's actually more about the software side. The physical side pretty much consists of network cards, cabling, routers and switches (a few other things too).
Before you want to learn those, you might want to learn Google ... Learning Google would eventually teach you a lot of stuffs ... Not that I'm trying to be rude and not help, but in fact, there are many useful articles around the WWW, which could be reached by searching it via Google ... I don't think you would have problems getting all the basic info you want to learn, but when you need advance stuffs, you might want to join some forums and get active, by posting and reading threads, regarding other's past histories/experiences ...
Thanks for the replys guys! And yes, I can and have built many computers and work retail selling mobos, ram ect... I only know the basics (enough to get b..) but would like to get to know much more about how everything works in depth. I know the differnce between say ddr1 and 2 and am2's and 775's.. I learn more and more as I go but would like to know more and just needed some direction other than toms !!!
But thank too all of you for helping me out!
