Whenever my mobo boots, it always stops after it recognizes all the hardware and makes me hit F1 to continue or Del to enter BIOS.  I cannot start up my PC w/o hitting F1.

I thought I had brought this on myself by tampering with the BIOS but for the life of me I can't figure out how I caused this.  I've looked through all the settings and I can't find anything.

I did switch CPU's and had to go into the BIOS to have it recognize this without a warning.  I'm stumped.

Does anyone know why the boot is stopping and what I can do to correct this?

Thanks for the tips.  I went into the BIOS and restored all the factory settings. (lost my OC), but at least the F1 is gone.

Thanks for all the help.

This happens when you:

Didn't install a floppy drive
Clear CMOS
or because of the "Halt On" errors such as no keyboard detected.

When you have to press F1 to boot up, it's because the "Boot Up Floppy Seek" is on.  Go into "Advanced BIOS Features" and disable it.
