I have been looking at every benchmark made of the new 8800's.
Somehow the specs of the cards dont seem to be on par with the performance in these benchmarks. Some benchmarks have the 8800's really high, where they should be, but most have them being compared to 7950 GX2's etc.
The issues:
1. The X1950XTX getting higher frame rates than the 8800 GTS.

There is NO reason that the 8800 GTS should EVER have lower frame rates than the X1950XT. Each and every one of it's specs are higher than those of the X1950XT, some by far.

2. The 7950 GX2 seems to be either the same, or better than the 8800 GTS. The 8800 GTX is fine though, scoring much higher than both.
Now u could look at the 7950 GX2 and say "it's better because it has more texture fill rate, and the shaders on the 8800 GTS are not being used". But then u have this problem - the only thing that the 8800 GTX has over the 8800 GTS is shaders.. and a little memory bandwidth and pixel fill.
So then, how can the 7950 GX2 be better than the 8800 GTS, but not better than the 8800 GTX?
