What are the power consumption for the Core 2 Desktop and Mobile processors? I need to know if terms of amps. Do they draw 2 and 1 amp respectively, as an example? I have created a car pc but I need to decide which processor to use. Thanks for any responses!

Not definitive numbers, but at 65w, a C2D would draw ~5.5A...and a mobile PC at roughly 31w would draw~2.6A. GL :)

PS. Don't forget that the CPU isn't the only power user. The RAM, mobo, GPU, drives, etc. will draw amperage as well.

Under full load the E6300 consumes 44w of power:

That equals 3.67 amps.

I haven't seen any Merom power consumption figures yet. If I had to make a guess then I would say no more than 30w or 2.5 for the most efficient version under full load.
