Will I get performance issues?

Will I run into any performance problems if I up my memory from 1 gig to 2 gigs, using 4x512mb? I figured that performance wise getting 2 gigs of ram with 2 sticks instead of 4 would be much preferred, but I already have 2 sticks of Kingston HyperX PC3200 512mb ram, and was thinking about upping it to 2 gigs by buying two more sticks of that same ram. Any thoughts?

Some mobo will clocked the memory FSB only until 332 MHz if you fill up all the memory socket.
So if now you are running those 2 DDR (512MB) memory sticks at 400MHz dual channel then you add 2 more sticks same size, probably in the end your memory FSB won't run at 400MHz dual channel but at 332MHz.
You've got bigger total memory capacity (2GB) but running at lower clock.

It's better to check your mobo manual first. If it's like what i've said then it's better that you trade (if it's possible) your Kingston into 2 sticks 1 GB PC3200 memory.
