Conroe new Build Temp Questions Help!

Just got done building my new system, and I have a question about the temps.

Conroe E6600
Core Temp Reports the following:
Core 1 & 2 = 48C
TJunction = 85C

I'm using a Tuniq Tower, and several fans, somehow this doesn't seem right. I applied the tuniq TX1 thermal paste on using a credit card and applied a very thin layer, somehow I feel like I didn't do it right. Are these temps okay for what I'm using?

Edit: The ASUS utility for my motherboard reports:
CPU: 43C
MB: 40C

Is that under load or idle... if idle, it's a bit high, if load, than it's fine...
