X1950 PRO OR X1950 XT

I'm asking because althouth the XT is better (I think) is it worth the additional cost??

There are pro's and con's with each card. i.e.: the pro is single slot, and the xt is dual and so on.

i eventually decided i could stay in budget with an 8800gts though, so i went with that.

I'd say a 1950pro, save some bucks and survive with passable performance this december. Next year ati will launch their R600 chip, and then you can go for a DX10 card based on price point and performance.

Right now, Nvidia can ask all they want for the 8800 (although I doubt they would), but as soon as Ati replies then the price war resumes.

It also depends on what you have right now...
