Hey, I'm debating between getting the E6400 or E6600 is the E6600 worth the $100 difference between the E6400 or is it better to just spend the money on somthing else? Thanks.

Well the E6600 and the E6400 are both very good processors, but the E6600 would still beat the E6400 if it was clocked to comparable speeds because of the 4MB cache. But whether its worth it depends on what you plan to do and your budget. Without it I can only give you the obvious answer. Also if you plan to OC it makes a difference in my answer. But in short yes the E6600 is better.

I think the e6600 is worth it, but that's just my opinion. But as ninja wrote, what's your budget and what are your intentions? My general belief is to get the best that you can afford, then you won't be second guessing yourself so much later and you have the best future use.

I decided to save the $100 and use it to buy a 8800GTS...couldn't resist the Graphics card. Thanks for your help.
