I'm going to be getting a 6600 C2D and need the best mobo I can find. I will not be running sli or crossfire at first (haven't decieded which way to go yet) I WILL be oc'ing and will have a x-fi card and more than likely will want the ability to swap the 6600 for a quad core in a few months. I'd like good cooling as well I've been looking into the 680i chipset and it looks great, I will be running 1 raptor and 1 320 gig seagate for storage. These are the boards I've been looking into:

Asus striker extreme
EVGA 680i
Abit IN9 32x- max
Asus P5N 32-E
DFI UT ICFX 3200 T2R/G
gigabyte Ga-N680SLI-DQ6

these are the board I've been looking at and so far I doubt the gigabyte or the DFI will be ready intime for xmas. Hopfully the abit will be but who knows which make the decision more crappy cause, Its a xmas present and I need before xmas.
So far my eye is on the striker extreme but any thoughts? The abit look very good and I'm sure the DFI will be amazing.
Any advice??

I dont know about the other boards but I know the evga 680i is a beast. Its got all the features you could possibly hope for and is supposed to be great for overclocking! Ofcourse i havnt tried it myself just giving you my opinion from what ive seen! :D

I'd wait for the RD600 chipset to come out in the next couple of weeks. (On boards from ASUS and DFI) It's supposed to be a bit better at overclocking than the 680i.

Wait for the DFI LP UT RD600 mobo ... it's supposed to be anytime soon ... they were projected to be released November, it's already end of November ...
