I would like to know the relationship between the core temps and the cpu temps.
 
for My C2D E6300
 
Everest reports 40C as core temps for both cores and the CPU temperature is 20C at idle with stock HSF and fan.
 
That is 20C difference.
 
In many cases on this group the difference I have seen is abt 10C.
 
Is there any fixed relationship between these two?
What can I do to reduce this difference?
