Best price on an e6600 or amd dual core 4600?

sounds bout right. got my 4600 for 253 in sept. low 300 for e6600. id get that now that there are more mobos that can run it.

yes i was planning on getting the amd though i didn't know there were more mobos, now what mobo for it would u suggest, meaning a state of the art or close for a reasonable price as well. And is a 7600gs geforce compatible with that processor?

also what cooling systems are compatible with your motherboard, is it 500W or up, or what?

Guess if your in for an AMD there are a bunch of great AM2 chipsets running either 570 or 590 mobos. Board depends on needs and budgets. I chose the Gigabyte over the foxconn for futureproofing. Apparently DFI has a new am2 board witha 590 set.
The new 680i boards are coming out now to take advantage of the new DX10 GPU's. You may want to look at those. I'd consider the Intel chips tho, they really blow away anything AMD has now.
