Looking to built decent but budget system - please help

Looking to build a system for 1000€ (£670) Whether i build from UK or France is irrelevant. But not states.

Anyway, im looking to include a C2D and 2GB ram.

Im not a games freak but can appreciate good graphics whilst playing games (which i do occasionally) Sound is not a problem as iv already got a decent sound card.

Also, what are the advantages to E6600 over E6400, I know has 2x amount of cache, but does that justify the extra £100?

Any help in choosing parts would be appreciated.

depending on your needs, you could easily tweak an e6400 to match 6600 .........it all comes down to the multipliers then e6600 is the way ide go but i use alot of applications , for the moderate usage 6400 should do you fine
