ActiveSync & MS Money 2005

Forum Cell Phones & Smartphones : Windows Mobile ActiveSync & MS Money 2005

I have a Dell Axim X50 with Windows Mobile 2003. I installed MS Money
Deluxe 2005 on my PC because I wanted to be able to sync it with my PPC. I
downloaded the Money 2005 software for Pocket PC's from the Microsoft
website. I am using ActiveSync 3.8. Everything syncs fine but Money. It
remains unresolved and tells me to disconnect and reconnect my PPC. And so
I do. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and did everything I could think of
to get this to sync ~ and it won't.

There is one symptom that may help you gurus solve my problem. When I open
Active Sync, and I try to go to settings within ActiveSync for the Money
application, the settings will not open. There is a quick flash of the
opening settings message box, but the settings option will not open.

I've had that happen to me with previous money versions and the trick for me
was to uninstall activesync and then re-install. I don't know if it'll work
for you YMMV but it's worth a shot.

The problem I'm having is every time I place my ipaq 4700 in the cradle to
sync it Money 2005 is gone from activesync. It works great after install of
Money 2005 until I remove my ipaq from the cradle and close activesync. Upon
putting my ipaq in the cradle, Money needs attention.
