Building a new box around a Asus Striker Extreme

Hi, i'm new to this board so hello and am also a novice at building my own machine but i'm willing to give it ago

I'm looking in to building a new system pref for gaming

I like the sound of Asus Striker Extreme nForce 680 SLI PCI-E
and am looking to build the box around this

i was thinking of getting core duo 2 as i've read not many applications are optimized for quad core yet, ram i was thinking maybe corrsair, gfx i'm unsure so i need a bit of advice i like the look of the 8800 but it's rather expensive at the moment and am sure price drops will occur in some months time. i'm open to suggestions to all the other componants in the machine like dvd-rw/dl hdd etc budget is £1500

i appricaite anyone that will take the time to suggest hardware for this machine
