dual layer disc

Hi there, if i burn some data on a dual layer disc, will i be able to read it on a regular DVD drive or does it have to be another dual layer drive?

Almost all DVD ROM can read single layer and dual layer DVD without a problem. So, no worries on that.

If it doesn't work on your drive, you could try updating the firmware to the latest version.

Some dvd burners support bitsetting for changing the booktype of a +R/+RW/+R DL to read as dvd-rom for better playback compatibility. Nero Cd/Dvd Speed Tools can do it if your burner supports bitsetting also some burners can support it with a firmware update like some NEC burners.
