Hi all.

I wanted to get some tips on overclocking the E6600 processor i recently aquired.

I'm currenly running the following configuration.

Core 2 Duo E6600
GIGABYTE 965P-DQ6
2*1GB Mushkin DDR2 XP2-8800
XFX 8800 GTS
2*320 WD SATAII

The BIOS setting are pretty simple, and I left the voltage setting to Auto.
Some of the current settings
Mem Voltage 2.10V
Core Voltage 1.43V

Overclock Configuration
FSB 370
vCore 1.43
RAM Multiplier * 2
Freq: 740
vMEM 2.10

Temp:
System 49c
CPU 39c

Running stabale @ 3.33MhZ

I'm running with the original HSF and everythings seems ok. Does anyone have any other suggestions for OC configuration ? Running the Memory at only 740 sounds a bit low but when I'm overclocking it ti 1066 the system will not start.

Ack! I wouldn't do that. It sends more volts than you usually need. You should try manually setting it, lowering it until its as low as possible while still booting. Remember, lower voltage lower temperature.

1.43 seems pretty high for core voltage, you shouldn't have to go above 1.4 to get a wicked-high overclock on that thing. You should also kick your ram voltage up to 2.2 or 2.3, that's probably why it isn't overclocking so hot. Also, kick up the NB and SB voltages +0.1 or 0.2. Go to the overclocking forum and just follow wusy's guide, it'll get you there. So far so good though, that's a healthy overclock in my book. Get a better cooler and really let that thing loose!
