I am getting near to drop kicking my box out the window, perhaps someone here can prevent me from commiting this violent act... Epox hasn't returned my emails and no useful replies on the Nvidia forums.
Epox 8NPA Sli
AMD Athlon 64 3700+
BFG 7600 gt OC - in Secondary
EVGA 7600 gt Superclocked - in Primary
2GB OCZ (2x1gb) Platinum PC 3200
Antec TruPower TPII 550w p/s
23" Apple Cinema Display LCD
System runs fine with EVGA solo. I upgraded to latest Nvidia drivers, reboot, shut down, install BFG card in second slot and bridge, bring it back up. FIRST boot detects card, everything seems fine as I successfully enable Sli. Subsequent boots, all I get is the POST, and the initial Windows load screen. When it comes time to give me the blue login screen, it goes black, and the monitor lights up as if there's no signal. I reboot again 5 times, it comes up. I reboot 10 more times before it comes up. This isn't working, so I try:
1. deinstall, reinstall platform AND display drivers - no good
2. Update mobo bios to latest - no good
3. reorder vid cards in bus as well as try a THIRD 7600 gt - no good
4. Try other DVI connectors - duh - no good
Both cards detect fine in Device Mgr, and there are NO Sli options in the BIOS nor are there any hardware switches for this mobo.
I have had 1 boot where I could get everything running. I scored a 6600 in 3dMark05 with the solo EVGA card and 9900 with both. I know Sli can work, but it's not booting into Windows reliably at all anymore unless I remove the 2nd card.
Please help.. I am not finding much after hours searching on the web and days waiting for emails from tech support.
