P4B-LX Mobo Issue !!

I got a CPU Problem to fix....it stopped working suddenly....donno how to figure it out....will have to start with PSU as its fan starts and stops after plugging in....Donno whether its mobo or PSU issue.....Hardware experts plzz guide me in fixing this issue......specs are

Mobo: Asus P4B-LX with 400 MHz FSB
CPU: Pentium 4 1.5Ghz
RAM: 2 x 256 mb PC133
HDD: 80Gb

Are you sure this is not an overheating problem, causing the CPU to shut down for safety. Feel the heatsink after PC shuts down-see if it is really hot? If not, it could be a faulty sensor. 8O
