Computer shuts itself down overnight

I just recently completely wiped my laptop (restored to factory condition) and reinstalled everything because it wouldn't shut down on it's own. It's been working wonderfully with one exception. Now, if it's left unattended for too long it will shut itself down. I suppose it could be a good thing, and I don't necessarily think anything is wrong it's just very annoying because I leave it on sometimes to download something or another and then I'll come back hours later and it shut down. Is there any way I can fix/change this so it doesn't do that? I'd rather shut it down myself. Any help would be appreciated. It's a PC, has Windows 7 Home Premium and is a 64-bit. I don't know much about computers so I would appreciate steps on how to fix it.

Go to Control Panel. Select Power Options. Click Change Plan Settings. Make sure put Computer to Sleep is set to never. There are other settings there like that might need tweaking like HDD power down settings.

Also, it may be that Windows Update is doing restart updates at 3 in the morning. It did that to me for a while, really screwed up my folding@home. Check Windows Update settings.
