Viewsonic VX2235 recommendation.......

ppl don get mad....im posting here coz CE forum is sleeping......

im thinkin of buyin viewsonic 22" vx2235 widscreen lcd......wud any1 recommend it....i wan it for gaming and movies.....dont hav any other option except for viewsonic VA1912 19" widscreen....no other widescreen models r available in any other brand here in pakistan

It's a decent monitor for movies and gaming, but the price is a little steep. Here in the States there are cheaper options. Are serious when you say there are no other options?

I had this re commanded recently, I am also looking at the Acer Al2223wb and the Samsung 225BW.

So far the Al2223Wb seems like the best buy for the money.

I bought the 2235 just a bit over a month ago. I would have liked a monitor with more height adjustment options, but ended up getting this one anyway. Out of the box, I had to manually adjust several settings to get a better picture. I guess that's to be expected though. I have not done too much gaming on it, but the little bit I have done (Oblivion) has looked great; it seems the 5ms response time is more than enough.

As far as multimedia goes, I've watched quite a bit of downloaded content, and as long as you're more than a couple feet back, things look great. My last monitor was a CRT, so I was actually suprised to see the lack of depth in very dark images though.

Also, my pr0n looks great.....err....I mean images I have taken for my digital photography class....yeah that's it.
