i was just wondering what the best deal on 184 pin ddr sdram was
newegg has some 512 sticks for under $50

im looking for three 512 sticks to upgrade one of my pc's

also:
this upgrade is to make the computer better at compiling video for dvd's and i was wondering if there was another way to make the computer faster at doing this for under $200

any help/replies are respected, thank you

I don't think that you would need any special type of ram. You told me that the motherboard supported pc3200, and any ram would work fine. You might want to consider buying name brands like Kingston, Corsair, Crucial, etc... the value ram would probably be in your price range and would work perfect.

what model is your motherboard?? Full system specs may be a little helpful.
