I can get this card for 175$ from a friend. I will probably get it for 150$. Is it worth the 150$ or should I just spend an extra 80$ and buy an asus x1950 pro????

I just sold a 7800 GTX OC (XFX) on eBay for $175. the guy who bought it seems to think it was a good deal... they go for over $500 now because no one makes them anymore.

I read the reviews, it seems like a good card, and it performs similarily to that of the x1950 pro which is what I was thinking of purchasing in any case.

This will hopefully do me in for a while.

You're a genius! :trophy:

Anyways a 7800GTX is good enough to run any games at good quality and performance. Or save it up until next year for DX10 card.

The 7800GTX beats the x1950Pro.
X1950Pro is more in the 7900GT league

NAw I thought about it, this is th ebest deal. I dont want to wait until May next year for some decent mid range dx10 cards. I also dont think its worth buying into the hype- not at least until the games are out, the benchmarks have been made.

if dx10 is as amazing and the games are super awesome and only run with dx10 cards, then ya ill be forced to upgrade regardless.

thanks for the responses guys.
