Happy New Year everyone, hope you all have good fun. I'll be out celebrating, I'll bet AV will be doing the same too, though the Mancs only have a second rate China Town.
Celebrating chinese new years? Any opportunaty to drink up is good i see!
No meat for you tomorrow.
Not for you either!
Bugger.. I'd totally forgotten that was going down tonight! I meant to head down to the arch to see the draggon and maybe a couple of manga style girlies.
Tom - I see your beloved Liverpool has just taken a bit of a spanking in the audit report. You looking to make any money out of sorting out the housing for them?
No wonder Tom's happy.. I just checked and its the year of the Rat
Rats are incredible creatures.
Not if your hung like one. [/Going for the rare Beatles Bastage]
Momo was my daughters'
Did you milk the rat? [/Cross thread]
Yes. Happy Chinese New Year.
As I understand it, the year of the rat is meant to be a prosperous one.
I've never dated/porked a Chinese lady. [/reflective]
You should sometime. It's kind of exotic.
It could involve plenty of 'dipping sauce' and a hot spring roll.

Ok, Jebus. Take it easy. Not all of us are as appealing as you are: long hair, fine features, nice complexion with a dignified presence. [/guru appeal]
** Passes Bomber his spare glasses **
I do my best.
If it's any consolation, I only started to become attractive to the opposite sex after I'd finished with school.
I think losing 20KGs during my matric finals due to stress and not picking them up again had a lot to do with it...
20kgs? You were a fat focker like AV? [/two birds with one stone]
Pretty much, yeah. 1.85M at 72KG is a LOT more attractive than 1.85M at 90+KG. The resulting boost in self-confidence alone was considerable.
Good, good.
Now if we can get laser treatment on yours and AV's eyes. [/blind f*ckers]

STFU you simpleton. That is because we spend what we like when we like to. We do as we please, we're not interested in being a bunch of arse-licking Mancs. Liverpool is a land of opportunity. I've recently started a campaign to save a local community centre. I feel it's vital the kids have a youth centre and access to various advice services. Well that's the campaign bollocks. All I'm after is a large bung or I'll see to it fcuk all gets built on that land for years to come. Welcome to Liverpool and have a nice day.
I hope that bung will be big enough to cover the cost of a new set of wheels for that fancy car of yours... [/Logical conculsion of disgruntled scouse youth]
I'm sure it will cove a new car.[/fcuk 'em, I managed without a youth club]
And just look what a fine law abiding citizen you turned out to be eh?

christ man, i'm about the same height and weigh 85 or so and there ain't much flesh covering my ribs, how skinny are you? i feel fat now *throws up*

And I suppose you and your red hand gang mates are all doing well.
You know full well that with the amount of poop flinging I do my hands are somewhat brown.

I'm a Fire Horse, not a Rat.
THE
FIRE HORSE 1906 AND 1966
The Fire Horse is
animated and sociable. He has a wild side that leads him to a life on
the edge. Fire Horses are generally either incredibly lucky or ridiculously
unlucky. They love the excitement of action and the change it brings.
The Fire element makes them passionate about their feelings and they always
take a stand in a situation. Fire Horses are never on the fence about
anything and have definitive opinions about the world. Their tempers can
be overbearing.
I just had a look to see what I was and I appear to be a Tiger..
Slightly alarming summary:
Those born in the year of the Tiger tend to be indecisive, often missing a good opportunity by taking too long. They are also sensitive, deep thinkers and can be sympathetic. However, they have a tendency to be very short-tempered and a little antiauthoritarian, although they are respected by others. Tigers are said to be compatible with those born in the year of the Dog, Horse and Dragon.
I dispute that I'm indecisive.. maybe.. possibly.. perhaps..
Tiger, AKA a big pussy. Seems about right to me.
** Meeeeooooowww **
Now I've got an identity crisis to deal with..
Time to change your avatar!
We already have a forum Tiger. Maybe I'll add some stripes though.
Don't forget the earphones. That'll set you miles apart.
They need to go anyway.. I don't even own any earbuds nowadays. The original pic was from one of the iDroid posters (anti iPod). I can see I'm also going to have to find a way to add the glasses... Grrr darned image change.. next thing you know I'll be changing my underwear.

Hey, WTF? I'm 1.87 @ 94kg. Woman dig it, it's like a buoy in rough winds to cling on... I use to be under 80kg, but that just didn't look right plus where I stay you need some weight to throw around during rowdy pub nights or the odd domestic dispute..
I have no idea why, but most of that 90+ was flab. I was quite chubby, believe it or not.
Maybe my body mass is just less dense than everyone else's.
Well, some of my weight sits around the gut, but not overly. Most went to my arms and shoulders - did 5 hard years for a Petro Chemical plant climbing vessels 100m up in the air, shutting 24" valves that had 15 years plus rust on them, loading carbonate powder in 25kg packs up to 4 tons by hand - so i was built quite good. Then I finished studies, got a desk job and then I gained weight as I entered the engineering world.
5 years ago I was 1.85, packing just above 70kg. I looked like Johnny Ramone in the mid 70's. Woman didn't glance at me.
I tend to over eat under stress while some people under eat. Stress just makes me distant at times and only for a day or so till I figured out what to do to address the situation.
What line of engineering did you go into?
I'm in Electronic engineering, specialising in the heavy industrial electronics.
Computer Systems Engineering, working under Automation and Control field, specializing in Safety Instrumented Systems but moving over to Distributed Control Systems as of 1 march.
Get a room.
They've been scoping each other out.. you know some tentitive probing will be next. Logic dicates there will be some massive discharge before they return to earth in a flash.. [/You have a try at making much out of EE terms]
It's all about interface and buffer capacity.
Then shoving it all down the backplane...
They need to work on quench current and ramp rate.
My buffer cap is very limited... Interface I lost in Nam... Namibia
I've discovered that my backplane is incompatible with most hardware.
It must be a bastage trying to get a mini USB connector to fit in a standard size female socket.
USB? Since when did you see a USB connector with 3 pins and 380V between the pins?
