Does the CPU temperature affect amount of Ram used?

I have Acer Aspire 5100 notebook which lately started having problems in performance. (Watching flash video and in WC3TFT)

I have a feeling that it has to do with stock thermal grease being too old (3 years old).

My tempeartures are: 54 C idle and 73 C under load (Maximum being 95 C). Before that I remember having idle temperatures of 46 C.
