I read all three parts of the Cracking WEP article and I'm puzzled by the Auditor hardware requirements.
The Auditor hardware list consists mostly of 802.11b NICs. The Cracking WEP article, on page 2, recommends using "Two 802.11b PC Cards based on the PRISM 2 chipset."
I'd like to crack WEP in my own Wi-Fi network. I only have 802.11b/g NICs.
Will the procedure work with 802.11b attack clients directed at a Wi-Fi network with target clients running at 802.11g speeds?

The answer appears to be No (see message from devine dated 23 Feb 2005, 11:07 AM) and No (see message from Dutch dated 01 Apr 2005, 11:37 AM).
There are few 8021.11b/g PC Card NICs compatible with Auditor and several models reported to be compatible have incompatible versions due to chipset changes; version numbers are rarely reported by the vendor.
