Which card is better for gaming:
both are PCI express 16. Looks to me like the 7600gt has better numbers, but I can't get past the 512 mb of ddr2. What will produce the best gaming experice?

I know that big number (512mb) makes you think that is faster but the answer is no. Not all games right now take advantage from 512Mb so that would be a waste. Also, GDDR3 outperforms DDR2 which means getting the 7600GT with 256Mb GDDR3 is the better choice.
The 7600GT is FAR faster than the 7600GS, especially considering it's using DDR2 vs the GT's DDR3. Couple that with the much higher clocks of the 7600GT and you have a clear winner!
even ig GS had 1000000000000 mb of ram, it woudl be slower than the GT actually since they seem to have similar specs the only thing faster betwen those two GS and GT is the gt having DDR3 and a faster memory/gpu clocks
i have 50 computers at lan center most are now 7600GS and some GTs and GS, the gts outperform the gs right away
Thanks, That is what a ifigured, just wanted to confirm. Building a new system for a Xmas pesent and I want it to be the best gamer I can make it with out blowing the bank...
