The video card has the following problem. In 3DMark 2006, SM 2.0 Graphics Tests, (Firefly Forest) the video card stops responding, the display goes standby mode and the system reboot in 2-5 seconds after the display turns off. If I skip this test (Firefly Forest) the benchmark will run fine and no problems occurs. I've tested the video card on two other systems an it has exactly the same problem in the same test.(Firefly Forest).
The video card is ok or it has a production problem ?
Have you tried running coolbits and underclocking the card if you have and it runs through the test I'd say you've got a sick card which needs to be RMA'd.

Fist from 525/1440 to 450/1320 (same thing)
Second 525/1320 to 400/1100 no problem; the benchmark works (4410 points ) with Pentium 805d @ 2.66Ghz. :?: What to do now ?
What happens if you run it at 400/1100 in the first system?, and like blacken asks, what PSU do you have in the first system?, what version of drivers are you using?
Drivers: 91.48 ( from original Gigabyte CD)
The card runs the 3dmark 2006 stable at maximum 430/1260.
(Default 525/1440)
Power supply (unknown) 450watts (but runs stable with a Asus 7950 GT )
Running coolbits, riva or any gf utility like that? Riva sometimes has problems bumping me from 2D/low power to 3D high power and such. I'd def. get a 93.-- nV GF v. of the drivers. PCIe power connector hooked up (pending as the card requir. or even uses it).

The system doesn't work if the PCIe power connector is not hooked up.
I would say try the 93.71's but I had issues with them and although others haven't I'm loath to recommend something I didn't get on with however they are the latest so it might be worth giving them a go, its also worth remembering that the 7900GS was originally clocked at 375/500 (375/1000 effective) http://laptoplogic.com/news/detail.php?id=678 so you may have one that just wants to be 'normal'.
Nvidia 91.47 drivers. with default 525/1440 same thing...(Firefly Forest failed )
Later edit.
Nvidia 93.71 drivers : the same problem. What is so special with Firefly Forest test ?. What kind of gpu functions uses ?
Hmmm, I'm thinking either heat issue (shouldn't have with a zalman cooler) or you got a sick card my friend, worst case scenario is a dickey mobo slot but I doubt that as they usually work or don't work no in between, as I implied earlier the earliest reviews I saw of the 7900GS's reported a clock/RAM speed of 375/500 but a few months later they were being reported as having a clock/RAM speed of 450/660 (450/1320) yours is trying to run at 7950GT speeds near enough (550/1400) and although Gigabyte want you to believe this is possible I don't think it is, sorry.
Here are the requirements for running 06 does your system meet them?
* Intel® or AMD® compatible processor 2.5GHz or higher
* DirectX® 9 compatible graphics adapter with Pixel Shader 2.0 support or later, and graphics memory of 256 MB minimum*
* 1GB of system RAM or more
* 1.5GB of free hard disk space
* Windows® XP 32bit or Windows Vista™ operating system with latest Service Packs and updates installed
* DirectX® 9.0c December 2005 or later
* Visual C++ 2005 Redist
* Microsoft Excel® 2003/XP or later for some 3DMark functionality
* Microsoft Internet Explorer® 6 or later for some 3DMark functionality
* To run the HDR/SM3.0 graphics tests, a DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapter with support for Pixel Shader 3.0, 16 bit floating point textures and 16 bit floating point blending is required.
Yes I did read the whole thing. I know your cpu speed and your video card. I saw no list of how much memory you are running or your operating system.
Did you read the requirements of running 06 and does your system meet those requirements?
If so and the card works when it is underclocked then you probably got a bad card or can't run it at those speeds. Gigabyte makes good cards so I am surprised.
