I have purchased a unit of F5D7230-4 v4000 hardware yesterday. The configuration went fine and easy.
However, when I plug 4 wired PCs to the LAN ports, the router will reboot (after about 30 seconds) and four amber lights are shown. After that all PCs displayed a 10Mbps connection instead of 100Mbps. From there onwards, no data can be sent/received anymore. 8O
Curious to find out further, I setup NetIQ's Chariot to send some packets over. The router did not crash until I started the multicast testing. Multicasting one packet to IP 224.0.0.0 will immediately crash the router and it's 100% reproducible everytime. I updated to latest firmware F5D7230V4_UK_6.00.21.bin and it's still crashes.
I guess all Windows computers does multicast once a while and that's the main reason router crashes. But Belkin hardware can't handle multicast even in small amounts?
Does anyone have this strange behaviour in their Belkin hardware?
