I am putting together a system for Xmas present. Trying to no break the bank. I purchased a Free After Rebate supply, but not sure if I actually want to use it. The system will be:

Core 2 Duo 6400
1 GB DDR2 (eventually going to 2-3 GB)
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3
7600 GT with 256 DDR3 pci express
160GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb
DVD Burner with lightscribe technology

this is the power supply that I purchased not sure if I should use it or not:

Yeah it's fine.

It's not dual rail, but I wouldn't worry about it. Dual Rail is important when you've got a million devices connected AND a power hungry video card. In your case dual rail isn't crucial. But if you really want dual rail, i recommend these PSU's:

or

I've owned several enermax's, great product. As for coolmax, they're no better or no worse than that ultra-V. Try to ignore all the horrible reviews and remember than 99% of people who have good experiences never write about them.

THans for the recommendations. I just want to build a stable system I don't want to destroy a mother board or worse with a bad PSU.
