Motherboard is an ASUS A8N32-SLI. I'm planing to install 2 internal SATA HDs running in RAID0 configuration. I see the SATA data connections on the motherboard, and they run OK with 1 HD connected. When I install the pair of HD's and configure them to RAID, should I use the Silicon Image Controller? What's the advantage to doing so? As I recall there are different SATA data connections for the SIC (I could be wrong about that).

Thanks-

Bruce. (RAID Rookie).

imo most people would probably say to run the RAID on the nForce SATA as they are directly connected to the chipset rather than via the PCI-E bus.
