morning all
i built a pc for my sister yesterday, here are the specs
Asus A8V-VM intergrated graphics
AMD 939 Athlon 3200+
1 Gb (2x512) Corsair value select DDR 400
Sony DVD RW Drive
Enermax 380W PSU
Western Digtal Caviar 160Gb HD
Edimax Wireless card
Everything went smoothly with the build and the PC boots into the bios fine, all devices are detected, including the HD.
when i try to install Windows Home Edition SP2 it gets through the preliminary upload of files it tells me that it cannot detect a hard drive and restarts
when look at the boot order options the HD comes up but its after the word RAID, this is obviously not raid a setup, could this be the problem?
is this a driver issue? if so how im i going to boot into the drivers without a floppy drive?
any help greatly appreciated, im a bit stuck here as its only my second build.
