Samsung SW-252F Issue

I can't run any cd's from it while windows is running, and if I put a CD in the drive it will just spin for minutes...and I can't load my computer...

If I set BIOS to boot from disc, it will initiate the windows XP installation when I put the windows CD in there...

I have tried everything but I am open to any and all suggestions...

Sounds like a missing media player or driver problem. What is on the CD's you have tried? music or PC games or what?

If it was a hardware problem, it would not run the windows install CD
