Hey. I put together a rig built around a Xeon 3060 with Corsair Dominator 6400C4D. ...and yes, I've learned that the CD C4D is not the best ram. However, it is rated @ 4-4-4-12 @ 800Mhz...which it won't run on the Gigabyte 965P DS3 with the F7 bios...at least mine won't so far. The best I can get is 5-4-4-12. ...bumping up the voltage doona help, I just end up getting to clear the CMOS via jumper and re-set my bios settings after the system won't POST.

My dumb@$$ question is this: is 5-4-4-12 better than the 5-5-5-15? I don't understand timings well enough, yet, to understand any relationships amongst the various individual timings so I'm thinking that the lower individual timings would indeed be better, but I'm not sure.

I'm hopinig with a bios update I can get the timings/performance I paid for...we'll see. Otherwise I just have some cute Dominator ram.

Sorry for the not-so-concise post.
