Am I using enough of a Power Supply?

First post here so...GREETINGS to all.

Since I have not found a way to test my power usage on my computer I thought I'd ask the question.

The system is:

Asus A8N-E
Opteron 170
2x512 Kingston HyperX
EVGA GeForce 7900 GT KO
2 x WD Raptor 36 gig h-drives SATA
1 x WD 200 gig h-drive SATA
2 x Optical drives
1 x 3" fan
2 x 120mm fans
1 x USB addon card (only 2-3 USB ports used at all times)

Powered by Enermax 535W power supply (model EG565P-VE FMA V2.0)

Enough power?

Thanks!

  1. I think its a safe bet that your PS rating is ok for what you have. Now as for the quality of that PS, im not sure.
  2. Well several reviews say the quality of the power supply is good.

Here is a Newegg link to it:

  3. Yes you have enough power and generally Enermax makes good psu's.
  4. You should be fine. Enermax is pretty good.
  5. Thanks guys!

I must admit; I love my new Opteron. (running at just over 2600)
  6. Should be alright, but u might need 650W if u run the pc at max which is unlikely

max defined as - EVERY component @ full load with peripherals drawing power from every usb/firewire port :D

    or if u like oc'ing
