It should be fine

from your link...

Next generation four +12V rails(12V1, 12V2, 12V3, 12V4) supports high-end graphic card and PC system (combined loading of 60A)

That PSU has 4 12V rails that EACH support 18A for a combined 60A.

Meh, 18*60 >> 750...

TT doesn't list how much total amperage the 12V line can take, only that each rail can take a maximum of 18A, which is more than enough when you have 4 seperate rails. When they say 12V 28A+, they mean the whole 12V line, or how much total amperage the 12V line can handle. Here's an example:

specs.jpg

You can see 4 12V rails at 18A each. But the total 12V line only goes up to 680W... 680W/12A = 56 and 2/3A, which as you can see is much more than the 28A they need for the 8800GTX. Couldn't find specs like that for the Toughpower, but I assume it's somewhat similar.

Your PSU is fine. Don't worry.

Thanks for your attention and help MAK-Daddy32 and also Doughbuy. I bought my PSU a couple of months ago and when I saw the specifications
from evga GTX 8800 I thought "what ***** I'll have to buy a new one"

You guys saved my day !

Thanks again !

You're very welcome - I've recieved lots of help from the Forumz, glad I could give a little back.

Doughbuy: Your math is a little off - you stated, "Meh, 18 * 60 >> 750..."

But, the real equation here is 12 * 60 = 720 < 750, me thinks you pulled the 18 from the 18A each rail is rated at and then muliplied by the manufacturers stated total amps for the combined 12 volts.

No worries my friend. The TT tough power is a great psu and it will run a single 8800gtx.I think it would even handle two of them, although you might be pushing it at that.Anyways have fun with your new video card.I envy you.Goodluck.

Meh... screw it, haven't done basic multiplication for half a year now, I have calculators to do that for me... don't know how I got 5*12 in there... there are only 4 rails...

Yeah, 18A * 12V * 4 Rails >> 750W

So basically go by combined amperage yadda yadda yadda.

That seems better.
