I'm building a system for my wife and she wants a 22" monitor with a maximum (and recomended) resolution of 1680-1050. I need a chipset recomendation for the card to use. The monitor is expensive so it cuts into my build budget alot so the cheaper the better.

Thanks

What do you mean cheap ?
Your "cheap" and my "cheap" is different. If i can get it for free than it's "better".
Be clear, how much you want to spend ? if you don't want to say your budget then it's okay. Just check out some online shop such newegg or amazon or zipzoomfly...

It would also be nice If we knew how your wife is intended to use her computer. I mean, will she play any games, edit movies, or just regular single task occasional stuff? If it is the later then I'm sure you can get a decent card for about 100 bucks.
